Heritage for All – A Contribution to the Inclusion of People with Intellectual Disabilities in Archaeology: A Polish Perspective

This paper discusses the results of project entitled Heritage for all: Perception past and archaeo- logical heritage by people with intellectual disabili- ties, which authors carried out on a group 14 young individuals who were diagnosed intel- lectual disabilities. The aimed to detect how is perceived conceptualized students learning cognitive problems we, archaeologists museum workers, can transfer knowledge about them in more ap- propriate way. also provides context need inclusive archaeology as way practising discipline social cultural value present-day people. Despite limited number approached during research specific character education disabilities Poland, some conclusions be drawn. First all, participants understood not abstract, historical events, but rather actions related their personal experiences.
